II. Dipolog Rising
After the success of Benham Rising in 2021, the online edition of the Rising Film Lab, the first stop of our onsite edition is at Dipolog City.
We recognize the rise in aspiring young filmmakers in the regio and we want to discover new talent and nurture them into bold storytellers.
This 3-day event brought regional filmmakers from all over the country to Dipolog for panel discussions technical workshops and a nightly film screening.

The Catanduanes people call the Benham rise as Kalipung-awan, which literally means
“lonelines from an isolated place”.
Benham Rising was created as a response to the pandemic in the hopes of making the development process not so lonely anymore.
